Simple, chill, everything I'd want the local diving restaurant/bar to be.

Nice location. Pretty bad service. They forgot our entrees and our drinks. When the drinks did arrive, they were the wrong order. The fish tacos were nice and good value. Wouldn't eat here again though.

Service and staff were good. Overall food was tasty but my stomach and the mahi fish and chips did not like each other very much. A little difficult to find.. the drinks were not strong.

It is a casual place, so expect casual service. Our waiter was very good with our two year old son. My husband had the blackened fish tacos which were awesome. I had the ahi tuna tacos, which made me wonder if the fish had been frozen before it was cooked (ice crystals in the center) - but still tasted fine. The drinks are strong. The view is nice. The prices are reasonable. For Key Largo, this comba can be difficult to come by. We went there for dinner after dark... I would love to have lunch there sometime.

Recommended by our deep sea fishing captain to take our black fin tuna we caught. Staff was very open to cooking it for us. We came in with 4 black fin tuna & they cooked it all for $18 & got 1/2 fried & 1/2 seared with spicy outer coating..that also included 3 sides. They have indoor & outdoor seating & had live music. Overall the food was pretty good & the prices couldn't be beat!

alrighty... this place is RIGHT on top of this bar/restaurant named sharkys. its the same kitchen. go for the view. the food is good, but not death defyingly amazing. The food is 'classier' than the bar and the bar-food available downstairs at sharkys. this is a great place to have a filling meal (portions are large) after a good dive. order a beer and enjoy yourself! go alone and savor the sunset. or go with a group and chit and chat. the place can get a little loud-- afterall there is a bar downstairs with outdoor seating and groups can get a little loud in the restaurant

Once again, Capt Jacob was dead one about the Galley having outstanding fish tacos and a great selection of micro beers. I had my tacos Jamaican Jerked Grilled and highly recommend them. My wife had the bear battered fish & onion rings and said they were to die for. The waiter gave use great service and even better advice about which ales to try. On top of all of this the Galley is a stellar place to chill out after day of diving or fishing.

Food was good, service was friendly, and the price beat almost every other good meal I've had down here in the Keys. I had the Cajun Mahi-Mahi, with black beans & rice, my wife had the Key Largo Shrimp Scampi. If I had to be super critical, the spice on the fish could have been backed off a little, but it was cooked right, and it was tasty. Food arrived quick. I don't agree with the classification as $$$, I've eaten at several places classified as $$ over the last few days here in the Keys and paid more, usually for less (in quantity and/or quality). We didn't choose the most expensive items on the menu, but that's part of it - they HAVE some good entrees that you can get without a mortgage. I almost went for one of the specials, which at $24 was one of the more expensive items. The place we went last night, most of the items started there and went up. Anyway, I thought it a good value for this area, and we left happy. It may not be getting a Michelin star any time soon, but if we're through Key Largo area again, it will be on my list of places to go.

On a week-long trip to Key Largo, my boyfriend and I ate here 3 times and never had anything we didn't like. The Key Lime Mahi was my favorite. The only thing I would change would be the dinner rolls.

Service on a busy weekend night wasn't fast, but the recommendations of Martin, our waiter, were excellent. The crab finger appetizer was spicy and plentiful. They were out of grouper, so I had the lime and jalapeño grilled hogfish platter. Martin recommended Cuban style (black beans and plantains) instead of the rice & veg, and it was super. The key lime pie didn't need the raspberry drizzle, but it was tasty.

One of my local favorites. Breakfast is on point! Priced right as well. The lunch / dinner selection is VERY good. It isn't amazing - but it is bad either. Probably the best chicken sandwich ever - Bubba's Chicken Sandwich. Very much a locals' joint.

Do not recommend conch chowder..have had better!!! Service was a bit slow even though not many people there. Burger was good...french fries were old and dry. Nice view of boating traffic. Was nice sitting outside.

This is my favorite place to get lunch after a morning dive trip when I'm visiting Key Largo. There's not much is better than sitting upstairs with a view of the canal enjoying a beer and a tasty fish sandwich.

Thursday night music, fish tacos and cold beer. What a combo. Lots of other good choices. Get them to put the wet fixings for the taco on the side, else the second gets soggy while your finishing the first. Why don't they come that way in the first place?? Still damn good tacos. We got stung by a recent credit card issue that appears to be centered at Sharkys, so bring cash.

Great atmosphere. Good beer selection. Fish tacos were outstanding. Don't ever think this restaurant is anything more than casual. We felt overdressed in jean shorts because everyone else literally walked off the water in bathing suits. Very "key largo"-ey!

I'm convinced the only reason this place stays in business is the number of folks coming back from fishing or diving out their back door. We stopped in for a small bite and a beverage because we were staying at the Courtyard which was a nice 2-3 minute walk along the marina. Which we did not try it. Walked in and was immediately ignored. After a bit we sat ourselves and I told a waiter we just sat down. After another while a fella came over with some menus - the beer on tap had some decent selections so we ordered 2. He came back a few minutes later said they didn't have those. I then asked what was on tap and he got angry, and raised his voice asking "Well what do you 2 like, we have lots of beer on tap!" Surprised, I said I'd like an IPA and my wife would like a not too heavy lager. He came back, I did get an IPA (no idea what it was) and we believe he actually gave my wife a Bud Lite (yuck). Couldn't get him back for a long time so we were unable to order a second beer. That was fine because at this point I wasn't interested in giving them any more money. Fish tacos were OK, but the calamari was cold and gross. Don't go - stay away - try any place else.
